NEW MEXICO - Short section

New Mexico is a short short ride from Oklahoma to Colorado. The landscape changed immediately -becoming arid and sandy. The foothills and rocky conditions made the ride more difficult as roads switchbacked up the mountains. I was low on gas and pulled into a ranch where I was greeted by Dolores, a very kind woman who allowed me to top off my tank at the pump. Onward thru the valley, the trail had great views - prompting me to stop for pictures. New Mexico was a very refreshing change of terrain and horizons.
